The Open University of Catalonia (UOC) is now seeking candidates for its doctoral program in e-learning:
Universitat Oberta de Catalunya’s research centre, the eLearn Centre, has newly opened the admission process for enrolment to its Doctoral Programme in Education and Information and Communication Technologies (e-learning). The eLearn Centre welcomes applications from PhD students from European countries who wish to develop their research in an international environment.
Within its research, the centre offers three main lines of study:
- Learning processes mediated by information and communication technologies
- Organization, management and policies in the area of e-learning
- Educational uses of technological developments for e-learning.

I worked at UOC for five years as a part-time research chair in e-learning and know the faculty well. If you are looking for a strong supervisory team and wish to conduct original research in e-learning, I strongly recommend this program. And Barcelona is no hardship posting, although you don’t need to be based there full time.
