Planning and Growing Online Learning Initiatives
San Diego, June 15-17, 2011
Academic Impressions is organizing this workshop. It states in the overview of the workshop:
Many institutions wanting to improve student access and increase degree completion rates are looking to online programs and courses as a way to meet these objectives. Most, however, are developing online programs with little or no strategic planning and without proper alignment to institutional mission and goals, all of which may result in limited success or even failure.
Join three leading experts who have directly managed the academic planning, development, and growth of online programs at six different institutions. They will provide strategies and insights from their collective experience that will be of value to members of universities and colleges just starting online learning at their institutions as well as others seeking to expand existing online efforts.
It has three excellent, experienced instructors in this area:
- John Ebersole, President, Excelsior College
- Joel Hartman, Vice Provost for Information Technologies and Resources and Chief Information Officer, University of Central Florida
- Barbara Macaulay, Associate Provost of Online Education, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
All you need is a $1,000, the airfare to San Diego, and a hotel room
