Enjoyable, but I was taken aback just a little when the kid informs Mr. Martin, the teacher, “I’m a digital native. I was born without fear of change.” Wow! Let that one sink in.
Then keep watching: this dorky old teacher (wearing a combover and a brown suit, and hired by his friend, the principal, to scan notes for the “school’s system”) undergoes a significant transition in a five-minute conversation — and in the end seems quite capable of change. It appears that this otherwise nicely done story corrects its own script, in a good way…if that makes any sense.
