ETUG Spring Workshop 2011 – June 2nd and 3rd
Nelson, BC: Here we come! It’s so exciting to be heading to the Kootenays this year for the ETUG Spring workshop. Selkirk College and the 10th street campus will be our host site. The theme of this year’s workshop is “Open4Learning”. The dates are Wed. June 1 for the ETUG pub night at the very happening Hume Hotel and then two full workshop days Thursday June 2nd and Friday June 3rd at Selkirk College. For social activities, SCETUG organizers are planning a lakeside BBQ in the park, walking groups, and a tour of the beautiful town and nearby sights.
If you are ready to book your accommodation we have arranged for a few block bookings at the Hume Hotel and The Prestige Lakeside Resort and Convention Centre. Registration and further details will be available in early April. Fees to attend are $100 + taxes. We plan to live stream and record workshop sessions for those who can’t attend.

Dr. Tony Bates is the author of eleven books in the field of online learning and distance education. He has provided consulting services specializing in training in the planning and management of online learning and distance education, working with over 40 organizations in 25 countries. Tony is a Research Associate with Contact North | Contact Nord, Ontario’s Distance Education & Training Network.
