Deadline for submissions

The deadline for submissions for the Canadian eLearning Conference Call for Proposals is 2 weeks from today on Monday, December 6th 2010. To avoid disappointment, you are encouraged to make a submission sooner than later to avoid missing the deadline.

Should you make a submission, th plan is to notify you by mid-December. General registration is slated to open on Tuesday, December 7th. If you submit a proposal,  you wait until you hear the outcome before registering in order to benefit from the reduced fee for presenters.

The planning team is quite excited with the number of responses to date, and are confident this conference will prove to be an engaging time for dialogue with your national and international colleagues dedicated to learning and teaching.

The theme for this year’s conference is: Partnerships in Learning. You are invited you propose a session that explores the many ways technology tools can enrich reciprocal learning partnerships that benefit learners, faculty, institutions, and communities. Sessions can take the format of:  Interactive Presentations, Panel Discussion, Case Studies, Roundtable, a Poster Presentation or Pre-Conference workshop.

Even if you don’t plan to submit a proposal, you can visit the conference website at www.celc.ca and sign-up under the Call for Proposals link. This will get you on the conference system to ensure you’re included when further announcements are sent out. Use your email address as your username when you sign-up.

Should attendance in person be impossible, you will have the option of participating online via Wimba Classroom.

Beyond the conference conversations, you can expect to enjoy Atlantic Canadian hospitality cumulating in a spectacular social function at historic Pier 21 including the best lobster available anywhere on the face of the planet. (I can certainly endorse that!)
