California InterContinental University, a private, online University in the USA, has announced its Scholarship Essay Contest 2009. Winner of the contest will be awarded a scholarship amount of $3000 to be used while a student at CalU. CalUniversity will also award additional scholarships of $2000 (to be used as a CalUniversity student) to all students who will participate in this essay contest.
The topic of the essay contest is “In light of the current economic scenario, define your vision of what a ‘true education’ should give to a student.”
In their essays the participants would be required to provide answers to some intriguing questions about education like: Is our education system keeping up with the times? Are our students armed with the right skills to face today’s competitive world? What are the attributes that a good education system must provide to its students to make them competitive and employable in these tough times?
